The client, a leading telecommunications company, sought to create a portfolio of IoT solutions for various B2B use cases, targeting attractive markets and their specific needs. Each offer had to be developed as a standardized product bundle, integrating devices, cloud connectivity, and software applications. Additionally, a competitive pricing and business model had to be designed to ensure a successful market launch.

valantic successfully conceptualized and implemented the IoT product ideas using the following approach: 

  • Collection and prioritization of product ideas for the IoT portfolio, including the development of a specific methodology for prioritizing them  
  • Validation of the product scope, use cases, and value propositions through workshops, customer surveys, and expert interviews 
  • Development of pricing models and business case scenarios, factoring in the cost structure and the willingness to pay of both providers and customers 
  • Support during the entire development and implementation phase using agile methods

Solution and Client Benefits:

The first portfolio batch has already been successfully launched, featuring three new IoT products focused on condition monitoring, goods tracking, and quality control, including sales organization. To streamline productization, a batch process was implemented, allowing for the efficient creation of additional IoT products. As a result, eight more IoT products were introduced in the following development round.
