The Challenge in Detail:
To build a platform for geomarketing insights, a mobile network operator required user data. However, handling user data is a highly sensitive matter that demands a transparent process. Traffic flow and group behavior data must be properly monetized. In addition, the platform requires approval from the Federal Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (BfDI). What’s more, the backend system architecture’s requirements are extremely high: There’s no margin for error in real-time anonymization, and the data enrichment must be complete.
