High-tech company for contactless technology
The website of Gantner Electronic GmbH received a relaunch focused on content and an ideal presentation of the products.
Contactless electronic access control, smart locker systems, and cashless payment solutions: As a leading high-tech company and part of the “Salto Wecosystem,” Gantner has made a name for itself internationally.
It was time for this global player to modernize theirwebsite and partner portal – an endeavor for which the company teamed up with experts from valantic at the beginning of 2023.
The goal was to further develop the content and professionally present the complex product portfolio. To meet high standards of usability and efficiency, a new technical concept based on the open-source framework Pimcore was utilized.

High-tech down to the smallest detail: Gantner Electronic GmbH is a pioneer in contactless electronic access control and time tracking. For over 40 years, the company has been providing worldwide support with its diverse solutions, ensuring increased convenience and security. As part of the “Salto Wecosystem” and the global player “Salto Systems,” their high-quality products are distributed through an extensive partner network.
After an extensive workshop and concept phase, the contract was awarded. The relaunch project for the website and the partner portal took approximately twelve months to complete. During this time, the project teams from Gantner and valantic Austria collaborated closely to finalize all the commissioned features. Content and product data entry has been ongoing since the beginning of 2024.
An ambitious goal
The initial situation: a website primarily centered on content that couldn’t adequately showcase the complex product portfolio. The different focal topics – sectors, solutions, products, technologies – were not properly represented online.
Gantner sells its broad product range mainly through an extensive partner network, warranting the new development of the partner portal. This new portal serves as a central source of information for both B2C and B2B customers and partners. Detailed, up-to-date product information, as well as additional document downloads, had to be integrated.
The redesign focused on a perfect balance between optimal efficiency and maximum usability. This foundation now supports the central marketing and sales tool, which centers on partner and product information management. On the new website, all aspects interlock seamlessly to provide a holistic overview. valantic immediately understood Gantner’s vision and effectively brought it to life with the new website.
The relaunch centered on fulfiling customer needs. To meet their requirements, numerous options for contacting the company and arranging appointments were digitalized. Certain content is gated and requires contact details for access, enabling specific lead-generation efforts.
Content presentation
Special attention was given to an appealing, yet simple presentation of the complex product portfolio. The approach taken: grouping content into areas of application, solutions, and products. The product database manages products, technical specifications, marketing content, and downloadable materials. While the complete product presentation is available in the partner portal, the website offers a streamlined version of this information.
Since early 2023, Gantner has been relying on the expertise of valantic Austria. They have been collaborating closely on the relaunch project and are now optimizing the website’s performance through ongoing support and search engine optimization (SEO). New paid campaigns aim to make the website more visible. Additional steps in digital professionalization are on the roadmap, including further portal developments and expanded PIM integration.
