Stable connection at high speeds

Connecting mobile devices across fleets

How can you ensure stable connections across vehicle fleets to optimize processes? That’s the question our client approached us with. The goal was to meet future automotive requirements by using LTE-based connectivity hardware, which can be deployed across various vehicle fleets. The world’s first 100-megabit Wi-Fi solution for the automotive sector ensures stable connections at high speeds.

Challenge

The client needed LTE-based connectivity hardware that could be deployed across various vehicle fleets and ensured stable connections.

Consulting approach

valantic specified the hardware and CAPWAP implementation, selected international suppliers, led the hardware development, and optimized the MIMO antennas for European LTE frequency bands.

Client benefits and solution

The result: The world’s first 100-megabit Wi-Fi solution for the automotive sector, ensuring a stable connection even at high speeds.

Solution & Results in Detail:

valantic carried out the following measures for the client to enable fleet-wide connectivity of mobile devices:

  • high-level specification of the hardware and CAPWAP implementation, including OTA management of device and firmware
  • selection of international suppliers
  • management of hardware development and optimization of performance and robustness of MIMO antennas for all European LTE frequency bands
  • development of cross-vehicle antenna guidelines
