bösch takes full advantage of valantic’s expertise

A fresh web presence for the full-service provider

Walter Bösch GmbH is Austria’s market leader for HVAC technology. Efficient heating, a pleasant indoor climate and fresh indoor air – all this is possible with solutions by bösch. What was missing until now was a state-of-the-art website to present bösch’s sustainable products.

Results that impress

In the course of the collaboration between valantic and bösch, the following measures were successfully implemented:

  • adaptation of the navigation to the needs of B2C customers
  • optimization of numerous content pages
  • creation of design creatives for social media communication
  • creation of a schematic drawing to better illustrate bösch’s systems during the selection process
  • The maintenance area was extended by the possibility to configure selection options and questions independently.

About bösch

The history of bösch began in 1932 when Walter Bösch started the company as a solopreneur offering furnace burners. Today, bösch is the market leader for HVAC technology in Austria. Among the offers of the full-range supplier: efficient heating systems, custom-made air conditioning solutions and economical living space ventilation systems.

The challenge

Due to the rapidly advancing digital transformation, bösch’s website no longer met current requirements. The eight-year-old design was ready for an upgrade, too. And the complex configurator for finding heating systems was just crying out for more simplicity – both in terms of maintenance and operation. A clear case for valantic’s experts.

The solution

As a first step, a digital transformation strategy was developed and successfully implemented in 2017. The subsequent website relaunch made maintenance much easier for Bösch employees, among other things. From that moment on, users enjoyed the responsive B2C website.

In 2021, the visual appearance of the website was upgraded. The new design is clean, clear and, as desired, does not deviate too much from the website’s previous look. The content received an update as well. The adapted navigation fully meets the needs of B2C customers. For this purpose, comprehensive analyses were carried out in advance.

Some adjustments were also made in the B2B area. The selection of a suitable system is facilitated by the use of a so-called schematic drawing.

It adapts automatically depending on the option selected. The result: Customers can get a better picture of the end product.

To draw digital attention to the new website, Facebook and LinkedIn were used. The first successes were not long in coming: An upward trend in the website’s rankings and views soon became apparent.

The company’s social media accounts are performing excellently as well: The number of followers on Facebook and LinkedIn rose sharply since the start of social media support in February 2021. Engagement rates and page impressions saw increases of up to 3,600 percent.

Future plans

bösch has now had a taste of what’s possible and will continue to work on their web performance. With valantic at the company’s side, further measures are already being planned: Strategically, everything will revolve around content commerce in the near future. To this end, the technical requirements of the website, the navigation structure and the content are already undergoing a comprehensive review. In addition, the topic of newsletters is also on the joint agenda for 2022.
