Development teams often become so engrossed in technologically complex projects that they lose sight of the end users. At valantic, we recognize that design thinking is key for creating meaningful products, services, processes, and business models. Discover how you can create user-centered innovations by combining creative disciplines with ethnographic methods!

Optimizing innovation processes through design thinking

Step by step

Design thinking centers innovation and product development on the user experience, combining design-based problem-solving with ethnographic methods. This approach enhances innovation processes by effectively addressing user challenges at their core.

Dissecting the design thinking process

  1. We use ethnographic methods like interviews or observations to unearth the true needs and challenges of users.
  2. The identified issues are defined and documented.
  3. Early-stage prototype creation helps detect problems right away, maintaining cost-effectiveness.
  4. The designed model undergoes rigorous testing to uncover potential weaknesses.
  5. Should the prototype pass without problems, it proceeds for implementation. If not, the next iteration begins.

valantic facilitates the design thinking approach for you

The following roadmap leads us to success:

  • We work hand in hand with your product management team to conduct user observations, identifying the true issues.
  • In the valantic innovation workshop, we hold cross-functional sessions aimed at idea generation, concept refinement in the sense of “hero use cases,” and prototyping.
  • Through industrial design thinking, we achieve the technical breakthrough – from the sensor to the cloud
  • We carry out extensive analysis of user acceptance, in addition to technical and business feasibility.
  • Under our guidance – as part of a training session – we teach you how to effectively use design thinking in combination with other leading-edge digital development methods.
