Managing Director, valantic Division SAP Services
What motivates you?
What motivates me most is working with a great team, achieving success alongside our customers, and also discovering our potential as a team – when everyone chips in, contributing his or her unique strengths to the project. For my part, this motivates me, too, to go the extra mile.
What are you passionate about?
We constantly set ambitious goals – not merely as an aspiration but with the determination to achieve them. In doing so, I am driven by the challenges of integrating diverse disciplines, aligning different interests, channeling manifold personalities, and harnessing each of their strengths to attain these goals together.
What are your responsibilities at valantic?
As one of two managing directors at Orianda – a valantic company, I am responsible for our corporate results. In particular, this covers the areas of finance, human resources, and recruiting, as well as our Swiss business unit – i.e. their internal and external consultants, and our projects primarily located inside, but also extending beyond, Switzerland’s borders.
What sets valantic apart from other consulting companies?
valantic successfully unites best-of-breed companies in their respective fields, while upholding those values needed for successfully collaborating internally and with our customers and for delivering those customers tangible added value during their digitalization journey. By preserving and perpetuating our group companies’ traditional cultures, and bolstering their management, our customers benefit from traits such as quality, responsibility, dependability, and sustainability.
What did you do before coming to valantic?
Before studying business informatics, I gained extensive SAP experience through my involvement in a SAP R/3 implementation in the logistics domain. My decision to switch to consulting crystallized over this period. After working in a SAP CRM environment and gaining insights into SAP’s own development department, I joined Orianda Solutions AG, and therewith specializing in Enterprise Asset Management, in 2008.
Since then, much has changed, both professionally and personally. My wife and I have been blessed with two wonderful children, have built a home in Constance on Lake Constance, and enjoy traveling, exploring the region and beyond. Meanwhile, the Orianda family has also continued to grow and thrive. Professionally, I have progressed from consultant to team manager to business unit manager, contributing to Orianda’s evolution into the organization it is today.
